SHINE

This small café cum restaurant is my favourite local haunt for lunch.  It is located at the crossroads of Frishman Street and Shlomo Ha-Melech Street.  It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  During the off-peak times it reverts to a café and people can be seen sipping a coffee and working away on their laptops or reading a book or chatting to friends.  It has a wonderful atmosphere which is casual, welcoming and cosy all at the same time.  It also has the distinct vibe of a local neighbourhood eatery with a loyal clientele who appear to be on friendly terms with the staff.  The Italian inspired menu offers really hearty food which is fresh, tasty and well presented.  I have always found the service attentive and quick.  There is seating indoors and outdoors and around the bar area.  Part of the kitchen is open plan and it is possible to see the large terracotta pizza oven as you walk into the establishment.  It tends to get extremely busy at the weekends therefore it would be wise to make a reservation beforehand so that you won't have to wait.  Do try it out and see what you think.
