The photograph below is of an antique brass brazier which is a portable heater consisting of a pot which holds hot embers of charcoal. The heat escapes through the small decorative holes in the ornate lid. The Dar El Jeld restaurant uses these highly decorative ornate braziers to warm the rooms of their restaurant in the winter months.
