It has been cold and wet in Tunis this past week with night time temperatures dipping as low as 3°C and there has been snow in the mountainous regions of NW Tunisia and in the towns close to the border with Algeria. Despite the cold weather, it is still possible to get days with intermittent bursts of sunshine when the air is crisp and clear. It was on such a day that I braced myself against the cold and visited a plant nursery. There are a wide variety of plants all lined up in neat rows and labelled with their Latin names. There is also a fabulous collection of pots of all shapes and sizes made in Tunisia. Here are some photographs from an invigorating morning spent at a plant nursery.
