In a quest to find the precise names and species of the three photographs (a), (b) and (c) below. I have enlisted the help of two websites on the internet specialising in Cacti and Succulents. These are Cacti Guide http://www.cactiguide.com/cactitalk/ and also The British Cactus & Succulent Society http://www.bcss.org.uk/index.php As soon as I have a definitive identification of these three photographs I will do another blog post and let you know. Thank you to everyone in these two forums who are trying to help me to identify these photographs.

*Since writing this blog post I have a correct identification
of these cacti with the help of two websites namely The British Cactus &
Succulent Society http://www.bcss.org.uk/index.php and Cacti Guide
http://www.cactiguide.com/cactitalk/
According to information received from
these websites, photographs (a) and (b) are of a cactus called Cereus peruvianus.
Photograph (c) is a cactus called Austrocylindropuntia subulata. I am very happy to finally have them correctly identified.
